JUNIOR "C" (U10 - U12)

Junior “C” Division — U10–U12

The Reedy River Box Lacrosse League Junior “C” Division is designed for young athletes ages 10–12 who are looking to learn, develop, and compete in the fast-paced game of box lacrosse.

This division provides a structured and encouraging environment where players can build fundamental skills, gain game experience, and develop a strong understanding of teamwork, sportsmanship, and competition.

What Players Can Expect

Division Structure

The Junior “C” Division is intended to provide an accessible competitive experience for younger players. Depending on registration numbers, U10 and U12 players may compete together when necessary to create balanced teams and ensure there are enough players for meaningful games.

The League will make every reasonable effort to maintain appropriate age and skill groupings while prioritizing player safety, development, and competitive balance.

Whether your athlete is new to box lacrosse or has previous playing experience, the Junior “C” Division is a great opportunity to learn the game, build confidence, make new teammates, and develop a love for box lacrosse.

JUNIOR "B" (U14 - U16)

Junior “B” Division — U14–U16

The Reedy River Box Lacrosse League Junior “B” Division is designed for athletes ages 14–16 who are ready to take their box lacrosse skills to the next level through structured practices, competitive games, and continued player development.

This division provides a more advanced competitive environment where players can refine their skills, improve their understanding of the game, and develop the confidence and teamwork necessary to compete at a higher level.

What Players Can Expect

  • Age Group: U14–U16

  • Competitive Gameplay: Organized league games throughout the season

  • Regular Practices: Structured practices focused on skill development and team concepts

  • Advanced Skill Development: Continued development of passing, shooting, defense, positioning, transition play, and game awareness

  • Teamwork & Communication: Emphasis on team systems, communication, and sportsmanship

  • Player Development: Opportunities for athletes to challenge themselves and continue progressing as box lacrosse players

Division Structure

The Junior “B” Division is designed to provide an appropriate competitive environment for developing teenage athletes. Depending on registration numbers, U14 and U16 players may be combined when necessary to create balanced teams and maintain a consistent game schedule.

The League will make every reasonable effort to consider age, skill level, player safety, roster numbers, and competitive balance when determining division placement and team structure.

Our goal is to provide U14–U16 athletes with a competitive and positive environment where they can develop their skills, compete with purpose, build lasting friendships, and prepare for the next level of box lacrosse.

JUNIOR "A" (U18)

Junior “A” Division — U18

The Reedy River Box Lacrosse League Junior “A” Division is designed for athletes 18 years of age and under who are ready for a challenging, competitive box lacrosse experience.

This division provides older youth athletes with the opportunity to compete at a higher level while continuing to develop their individual skills, tactical understanding, physicality, and overall game awareness.

What Players Can Expect

  • Age Group: U18

  • Competitive League Games: A structured game schedule throughout the season

  • Regular Practices: Focused practices designed around individual and team development

  • Advanced Skill Development: Continued work on shooting, passing, defense, transition, positioning, and offensive systems

  • Game Strategy: Increased emphasis on lacrosse IQ, team systems, decision-making, and situational play

  • Leadership & Teamwork: Developing communication, accountability, leadership, and sportsmanship

  • Competitive Environment: An opportunity to challenge themselves against players of similar age and ability

Division Structure

The Junior “A” Division is intended to provide U18 athletes with a competitive environment that prepares them for higher levels of box lacrosse and adult competition.

If registration numbers are insufficient to support a dedicated U18 division, the League may combine age groups within reason to ensure players have the opportunity to compete and the league can maintain a consistent game schedule.

Any division combination will take into consideration player age, skill level, safety, roster numbers, and competitive balance.

The Reedy River Box Lacrosse League Men’s Senior “B” Division is designed for adult athletes 18 years of age and older who want to compete in organized, competitive, and enjoyable box lacrosse.

The Senior “B” League offers a games-only format, making it a great option for players who want to compete without the additional time commitment of scheduled league practices.

Women’s box lacrosse opportunities remain limited across the United States, making the Reedy River Box Lacrosse League a unique opportunity for women to experience and compete in the indoor game.

Our goal is to provide a welcoming, competitive environment where women can develop their box lacrosse skills, compete against other athletes, and help grow the women’s game throughout the region.
